Glee Wins in the International Press Academy’s 14th Annual Satellite Awards

The International Press Academy announced the winners for their 14th Annual Satellite Awards last December 20, 2009, and Glee took home some bacon!

Fox TV’s Glee was named the year’s Best Television Series, Comedy or Musical, and earned awards for three of its stars, stage veterans Matthew Morrison, Lea Michele, and Jane Lynch. In addition, Tony Award winner Kristin Chenoweth also picked up a special achievement award for her guest star turn on the series.”

Here’s the list of awards that Glee won:

Television Series, Comedy or Musical – Glee
Actress in a Series, Comedy or Musical – Lea Michele
Actor in a Series, Comedy or Musical – Matthew Morrison
Actress in a supporting role in a series, miniseries or motion picture made for television – Jane Lynch
Outstanding Guest Star – Kristin Chenoweth for Glee

For us gleeks, it’s not a surprise that Glee is surrounded with some major awards, and I know we simply cannot wait for the Golden Globe Awards! I’m sure we’re gonna watch Glee sweep to victory!

Glee star Lea Michele (Rachel Berry) appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live, and she talked about her experience in the Broadway before she got into Glee, specifically her roles in Les Miserables and Spring Awakening!
